I’m still here sitting in the driver’s seat as if I’m a statue. When you got out of the car, turned to me, I seen the pain in your eyes. I knew it was there but there was something painful inside me when our eyes met. It was as if I seen your pain for the first time.
I sit here in the driver’s seat thinking I should have gotten out. I should have wrapped you in my arms and held you tightly.
But who would we be fooling… It wouldn’t change the way things are now.
