I am NOT a push over, I am trying to survive

It seems that our pop culture today glorifies crude and cruel behavior. The movies, music and internet sites glorify this type of behavior, teaching children it is ‘normal’ to disrespect by cursing, yelling, ignoring, refusal to do as they are asked, name-calling and even physically abuse their parents. People tend to make assumptions of what type of parent the adults are to these crude and cruel behaved children. Some may say they are too lenient, they are a pushover but in some cases they have become so scared of what their child may do to them physically that they believe riding it out is their only means to survive.
