Grilled Cheese the relationship game changer

I love being asked those questions that really make you think. Today I was asked:

“What is one thing that would change your mind and get you to jump feet first into a committed relationship?”

At first my answer was nothing would, but after taking some time and really thinking about the question I managed to come up with one thing, grilled cheese. I know you are thinking, I’m not taking the question seriously but you would be wrong, I am very serious. I love grilled cheese and I have had the opportunity to eat many of them over the course of my life so far. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (made with milk, this is a must.) is my all time favorite meal. It is rare to find someone who can make a finger licking, lip smacking good grilled cheese sandwich. I have high standards for my grilled cheese sandwiches and if they can’t live up to those standards, I certainly cannot enter into a committed relationship with the person.

Skout a social network dating site surveyed their users for National Grilled Cheese Day. Yes, April 12th is the day set aside to celebrate this awesome sandwich. (I don’t need a man to remember what day National Grilled Cheese Day is but I do require he makes me one on this day.)

Their survey found:

32% of people who enjoy grilled cheese have sex at least 6 times a month vs. the 27% who turn their nose up to a grilled cheese.

81% of people who enjoy grilled cheese are more charitable vs. the 66% who turn their nose up to a grilled cheese.

84% of people who enjoy grilled cheese are more adventurous vs. the 78% who turn their nose up to a grilled cheese.

I would be crazy not to jump feet first into a committed relationship with a man who enjoys and can execute the cooking of a perfect finger licking, lip smacking good grilled cheese. I would not only be turning down an awesome sandwich,  I would also be missing out on a man who loves to travel, who has a giving heart and sex.

I’m not that crazy!

  1. Funny yet brilliantly insightful! My mother used to make wonderful grilled-cheese sandwiches, served with cream of tomato soup, so I understand your emotional attachment to that combo. When I make them, it’s in/on the panini press, with Parmesan sprinkled on the margarine to make it toasty-crunchy, and almost any cheese will do–knife-sharp cheddar or baby Swiss are my faves. And sometimes I add Mom’s tricky ingredient–slices of bread-and-butter pickles.
